Solomon Owusu is an Assistant Professor of Global Economic Policy at Boston University's Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies. He is a Core Faculty Member of the Boston University Global Development Policy Center. Prior to joining Boston University, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Oxford Martin Program on the Future of Development at the University of Oxford. He also held a Research Economist position at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS).

Solomon holds a PhD in Economics from Maastricht University and UNU-MERIT. His research interests focus broadly on development economics, macro development, structural change, global value chains trade, industrial development, jobs and inclusive growth in developing countries, with a particular focus on countries in Africa.
