Solomon Greene is the inaugural Executive Director of the Center for Housing Research and Innovative Solutions (CHRIS) at the University of Denver, where he also holds appointments as Research Professor and Distinguished Scholar in Residence at the Sturm College of Law. CHRIS is the first center of its kind in Colorado and the Mountain West, producing research and regional data infrastructure to advance evidence-based housing solutions, including in industrialized construction and innovative building technologies. Greene was appointed by President Biden to lead the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Office of Policy Development and Research, and was previously a Senior Fellow at the Urban Institute, where his research focused on housing policy, land use law and urban development. He currently serves on the National Housing Crisis Task Force and the board of the National Housing Law Project.
