- Ph.D. Student in Cognitive Ecology, University of Nevada, Reno
I graduated with my bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill in 2017 with a double major in music and psychology and a minor in biology. I also completed my master's degree in biology, with a focus on animal ecology, at Lund University (Sweden) in 2021. In addition to my studies, I have worked as a research assistant in 12 different lab groups, in 7 different countries, at 7 different universities, with 16 different species (including insects, mammals, reptiles, and birds) studying topics including human cognition, speech science, animal cognition, animal ecology, animal behavior, and vocal communication. My main focus has been on cognitive ecology in birds. I am currently a PhD student at the University of Nevada, Reno, where I study the vocal communication, ecology, and cognitive abilities of mountain chickadees.
