Snita Ahir-Knight

(she/her)

I am the Programme Lead for the lived experience-led education and research programme World of Difference | He Ao Whakatoihara kore within the Department of Psychological Medicine, Wellington, University of Otago | Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka.

I am a trained child and adolescent therapist, and social worker. I have more than 15 years’ experience working in the not-for-profit, community, and mental health sectors in New Zealand and the UK.

My main lens is philosophy; however, my not-for-profit, community, and mental health work background alongside my lived experience are important components of how I approach my teaching and research.
