Sixto González-Víllora

Sixto González-Víllora obtained two bachelor's degrees (in Primary Education Teaching and Sport Sciences) and received his PhD from the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) in 2008. His PhD research focused on the development of tactical knowledge and decision-making in youth football players.

Currently, he is Full Professor at the Faculty of Education of Albacete at UCLM. In the last 22 years, he has taught in postgraduate and graduate programs (Physical Education, Sport Pedagogy and Education Sciences), congresses and seminars. He was dean of the Faculty of Education in Cuenca between 2016 and 2021, then served as academic director of the vice-rectorate for scientific policy at UCLM from 2021 to 2025. He is currently one of the coordinators of the Interdisciplinary Research Network on Children and Adolescents (RIyA: https://riya.web.uclm.es/).

His research interests focus on Model-Based Practice and Sport Pedagogy (Tactic and Decision-making). He also researches other topics in Education Sciences: Neuroeducation, Sustainability, Bullying and cyberbullying, Physical Activity and Gifted students.
