Siavash Alimadadi

Siavash Alimadadi is a Research Associate at the Centre for Sustainable Business at King's Business School, where he works on sustainable business models, net zero transitions, and socio-ecological systems. His research examines how businesses, communities, and societies respond to sustainability challenges and how these interactions shape fair and effective pathways to environmental and social change.

His work focuses on the everyday practices through which organisations negotiate strategy, responsibility, and value during sustainability transitions. He has studied issues such as sustainable housing retrofit, large public infrastructure programmes, community health initiatives, and the role of place-based collaboration in addressing inequality. His research draws on organisation studies, sustainability governance, and critical perspectives to understand how systemic change unfolds in real-world settings.

His current projects include research on the contribution of small and medium-sized enterprises to community health in South London, as well as collaborative work with policymakers and engineers on governance innovations in urban sustainability.

Siavash has published in leading journals including Strategic Organization and Organization Studies. He previously led a three-year research project funded by the Jan Wallander and Tom Hedelius Foundation in Sweden, working closely with the Restoration and Renewal Programme of the UK Houses of Parliament. He has also worked as a coordinator on the Swedish side of European-funded research across multiple countries and collaborated with partners including the UK Infrastructure and Projects Authority, the Greater London Authority, Southwark Council, and community organisations.
