Sheheryar Banuri is a behavioral economist and an expert on motivation and incentives, behavior, and public policy. He is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Economics at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, UK. His work has provided policy guidance to the governments of Indonesia, the Philippines, and Burkina Faso. His work has been published in academic journals such as Social Science and Medicine, the European Economic Review, the World Bank Economic Review, and Social Choice and Welfare (among others). He is a coauthor of the World Bank’s World Development Report 2015: Mind, Society, and Behavior, and has made contributions to the World Development Report 2016: Digital Dividends, and the World Development Report 2017: Governance and the Law. He is author of the book: Good decisions for strange situations (Hodder & Stoughton).
