Sharlette A. Kellum

Sharlette Annette Kellum, Ph.D., is an associate professor whose research examines online harms, youth digital behavior and the governance of social platforms. Her work focuses on how digital systems shape real‑world safety outcomes, including the ways children encounter risk, coded language and algorithm‑driven content. She has taught at the collegiate level for more than two decades and has published on juvenile justice, digital communication, institutional accountability and youth culture. Dr. Kellum also maintains ongoing research projects on platform‑related harms and the intersection of technology, safety and public trust.
