Shaila Rana

Dr. Shaila Rana is a full-time faculty member at Purdue University Global. She is the Founder of CyberSecure and the Co-Founder of the ACT Research Institute, an AI, cybersecurity, and technology-focused think tank. Additionally, Dr. Rana serves as an Author at Pluralsight and an Instructor at O'Reilly. She has co-authored three books and is the Chair of an IEEE Standards Association (IEEE SA) working group focusing on Zero Trust in Healthcare. Dr. Rana holds a PhD specializing in Information Systems Security and an MS in Computer Information Systems specializing in Cybersecurity. An active researcher, Dr. Rana publishes and presents at multiple conferences annually. Her research areas include cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Virtual Reality (VR). With a diverse background in education and industry experience, her passion lies in helping people protect themselves, their families, and their communities against cyber threats and attacks.
