Shahana Thankachan

I completed my PhD from the Centre for East Asian Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi in 2021. The topic of my thesis was "Japan's Quest for Normalisation: A Study of Security Policy." I am interested in the diffusion of norms and security politics in the Indo-Pacific region. I was a Japan Foundation Doctoral Fellow and spent one year at Kobe University. I also worked as a policy Consultant at the Policy Planning and Research Division of the Ministry of External Affairs, India. I am currently working as a full-time faculty at the Department of International Relations of the University of Navarra .
