Sean Spence is an accomplished security risk management practitioner with strategic leadership and consulting experiences within both the public and private sectors. He received military officer education from the Royal Military College of Canada having served in the Canadian Forces. Sean has since gone on to pursue a variety of security risk advisory opportunities in both corporate security as well as the live events entertainment industry.

Sean holds a doctorate in Security Risk Management from the University of Portsmouth (UK) where his research focus was on the protection of mass gathering events and the mitigation of public security risks. He holds a masters degree in Infrastructure Protection & International Security from Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada) where he received a scholarship grant from Public Safety Canada (Government of Canada) to conduct counter-terrorism research for federal policy-makers. Sean leads a national security risk management consulting practice for Aon, a global leader in commercial risk management services. He provides critical infrastructure protection, counter terrorism mitigation and national security advisory services to clients in both the public and private sectors. As a consultant for live events, he supports event organizers by assisting with physical site design, developing crisis management plans, and ensuring overall effective security risk management.
