Dr. Sean D. Foreman is an adjunct professor of political science, and the former Chair of the Department of History and Political Science at Barry University in Miami. He teaches History at Palmer Trinity School in Palmetto Bay. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Foreman received his M.A. in International Studies from Florida International University (FIU) with a graduate certificate from the Latin American and Caribbean Center. In 2003, Foreman earned his doctoral degree in Political Science from FIU.

Dr. Foreman was the 2014 recipient of Florida Campus Compact's Graham-Frey Civic Award. The award recognizes outstanding contributions to the development of civic learning and engagement in sustaining our participatory democracy. In 2021 he was named Public Educator of the Year by the American Society of Public Administration (ASPA)-South Florida Chapter. Foreman was awarded Outstanding Faculty of the Year at Barry University in 2024.

Research interests include U.S. politics and elections, state and local government, and the politics and economics of sports. Dr. Foreman is the co-editor of eight books including seven in The Road to Congress series. The Roads to Congress 2024 edition is set to be published at the end of 2025.

Dr. Foreman was president of the Florida Political Science Association in 2012 and had served as Secretary of FPSA since 2016. Dr. Foreman is quoted in publications around the world and has been interviewed on numerous radio and television stations.
