Scott Williamson

Scott Williamson is an associate professor in the Department of Politics and International Relations and a tutorial fellow in Magdalden College at the University of Oxford. He researches the politics of authoritarian regimes, popular support for democracy and human rights, attitudes toward migrants and foreign aid, and the politics of the Middle East. Scott's work has been published by academic journals including the American Political Science Review, Comparative Political Studies, the Journal of Peace Research, and the Journal of Experimental Political Science, as well as by outlets such as the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the Washington Post. Scott received his PhD from Stanford University and his BA from Indiana University, and he was formerly a CASA fellow at the American University in Cairo.
