Scott William is a cardiovascular health early career researcher employed as a conjoined Associate Research Fellow in the Centre for Chronic and Complex Care Research in collaboration with the Research Education Network of Western Sydney Local Health District and the University of Wollongong School of Nursing. He serves on the editorial board of Heart, Lung and Circulation as an Honorary Editorial Fellow. Scott is an emerging researcher who currently works on programs of research focused on healthcare delivery improvement, digital health studies, patient education to enhance cardiovascular health and stroke outcomes underpinned by working with consumers who have lived experience. His research interests include working with communities, the determinants of health, sustainability and the United Nations sustainable development goals, chronic disease, accessibility, health student and health workforce matters. Scott has a wealth of experience in designing, conducting, analysing, and finalising qualitative and co-design research projects to design clinical trials. This has involved working with key stakeholder groups including clinicians, patients, carers, and other relevant parties. Scott has worked on the nationally funded Medical Research Future Fund projects BANDAIDD-Explore and ESCAPE-CS-Explore providing expertise in qualitative data collection and or analysis. He has provided qualitative expertise on the OHMR and NHMRC funded RESIST-HF trial. He is currently involved in the INFORM-AF II digital health pilot feasibility trial a blinded randomised clinical trial registered on the ANZCTR [ACTRN12623000625673].
