I have worked performing environmental life cycle assessment as a consultant since 2005, performing analysis for a variety of sectors including the agricultural, chemical and building sectors. In 2009 I started performing analysis in the healthcare sector with a local anaesthetist, and this became my primary focus, combining my earlier degrees in physiology and pharmacology with my postgraduate studies in environmental engineering. In 2018 I started a PhD focused on decarbonising healthcare at the Department of Critical Care at the University of Melbourne, which was completed at the end of 2021. I am now the Director of Research at the Healthcare Carbon Lab at the University of Melbourne.
