Scott Glaberman is Associate Professor of Comparative Toxicology at the University of Birmingham, where he is also an affiliate of the Centre for Environmental Research and Justice and the Birmingham Institute for Sustainability and Climate Action, and serves as Head of Global Engagement for the School of Biosciences.

An evolutionary biologist by training, his research explores how animals respond to pollution and other environmental stressors, with a focus on improving chemical safety through next general toxicology and risk assessment.

Before moving to the UK, he served as a AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow at the U.S. EPA’s National Center for Environmental Assessment, later working as a biologist in the Office of Pesticide Programs. He was previously on the faculty at George Mason University and the University of South Alabama.
