I am a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Manchester. I have expertise in epidemiology of self-harm, population mental health and suicide prevention. I currently work within the UKRI Population Mental Health Consortium, leading research in the Suicide and Self-Harm theme.

I am currently researching means restriction for preventing suicide, impacts of population-level policies on self-harm and clinical management of people with a diagnosis of personality disorder who have self-harmed.

I have previously held fellowships funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) School for Primary Care and the NIHR Academy.
