I am an Associate Professor in the Asia Institute and Centre for Contemporary Chinese Studies at the University of Melbourne.

Trained as a geographer, my research focuses on social and environmental change in China and beyond. My research interests include hydropolitics, poverty alleviation, resettlement, agrarian change, agrochemicals, and climate change adaptation.
