Sarah is GP based in Geelong, and Senior Lecturer in Academic General Practice at Deakin University. She is currently also serving as a Councillor at the City of Greater Geelong.
She graduated from medicine at The University of Melbourne in 2007. In 2012 she received a Ray and Edith Bennett Travelling Scholarship from the University of Melbourne to undertake a Masters of Science in Health Policy, Planning and Financing at the London School of Economic and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2015. She has a keen interest in health financing, equitable access to health care, public policy, and the social determinants of health.
