Sarah Federman

After a decade as an international advertising executive working with some of the world's top brands and ad agencies, Federman wanted to better understand the role of businesses in mass atrocity. After a completing a PhD at the Carter School of Peace and Conflict Resolution within George Mason University, she wrote the award-winning book "Last Train to Auschwitz: The French National Railways and the Journey to Accountability" (University of Wisconsin 2021) and the award-winning "Transformative Negotiation: Strategies for Everyday Change and Equitable Futures" (University of California Press, 2023). She has written for the Harvard Business Review, Journal of Business Ethics, and has a forthcoming book (MIT Press 2026) along with a related TedX talk that address how corporations can atone for dark histories.
