Project Leader of the Africa Range-wide Cheetah Conservation Initiative (CCI)

Sarah Durant is a conservation scientist and practitioner, working in carnivore conservation, biodiversity monitoring, human wildlife coexistence, connectivity conservation, illegal wildlife trade and national and international conservation policy and management. She established and leads CCI which seeks to strengthen capacity, restore connectivity and improve human-cheetah coexistence to the benefit of cheetah, and to provide research and evidence to improve conservation management and policy for cheetah. She is an Honorary Professor at University College London and an active member of the IUCN Cat Specialist Group.
