Sarah C. E. Ross

Sarah C. E. Ross is Professor of English at Te Herenga Waka-Victoria University of Wellington. Her research focuses on early modern poetry, politics, and women's writing; and her wide teaching interests include poetics, Shakespeare, and gender and literature from the early modern to the present day.

Her work on early modern women as writers of complaint poetry has won international awards, as have recent publications including The Oxford Handbook of Early Modern Women's Writing in English, 1540-1700, and an anthology of Women Poets of the English Civil War.
