- Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour, University of Sheffield
I joined academia in 2012 as a Management and Business Development Fellow, a scheme jointly funded by the ESRC/SAMS/UKCES to encourage business practicioners to join academia. Previously, I was a management consultant at KPMG and Celerant Consulting and prior to that an operations manager at Scottish & Newcastle. My PhD investigated how formality shaped the way that police officers challenged their superior if a decision was made with which they disagreed. More generally, I am interested in understanding the factors that encourage or prevent employees from sharing their views upwards within the organisation, particularly those about concerns of unethical behaviour.
