I am an associate professor at the Pennsylvania State University Department of Sociology and Criminology and a faculty member in the Penn State Child Maltreatment Solutions Network. My research focuses on various issues related to child maltreatment and the child welfare system, including the measurement of child maltreatment, the causes and effects of involvement with the child protection and foster care systems, case-level decision-making, and system effectiveness.
