- Creative Economy Engagement Fellow, Royal Holloway, University of London
I am currently working on the Making an Appearance research project. This AHRC-funded Creative Economy Engagement Fellowship explores actors' experiences of aesthetic labour and is a collaboration between the Centre for Contemporary British Theatre at Royal Holloway and the Women's Committee of Equity.
The project builds on my AHRC-funded PhD research, which looked at the ways in which casting conventions contribute to the construction of gender in performance, with a particular focus on Shakespeare's early comedies.
My background is in both English Literature and Gender Studies, with a degree in English from the University of Cambridge and three MAs from the University of London.
