Sara M. Grimes is the Wolfe Chair in Scientific and Technological Literacy and full Professor in the Department of Art History and Communication Studies at McGill University. Her scholarship centres on children’s rights in the digital environment, children's digital play and gaming, children's relationship with the media and tech industries, and children's evolving roles as media producers and content creators. Her first book, Digital playgrounds: The hidden politics of children’s online play spaces, virtual worlds and connected games, was published by the University of Toronto Press in 2021.
