A former Head of Production for 4 Film Channels at Vía Digital in Barcelona, Sara now runs Troy TV in Bristol and Mermaid Pictures in Wales, which she co-founded with director Jo Southwell in 2024.
With some 200 broadcast hours under her belt, Sara has worked on productions for dozens of broadcasters and platforms including; BBC, ITV, Ch4, Ch5, Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, Amazon, HBO, HBO Sports, ESPN, PBS, NHK, RTVE, TVC, Sky, NBC, Smithsonian Channel, Nat Geo, Discovery, WDR, STV, Travel Channel, Food Network and CNBC.
Sara was the UK Series Producer for Season One of Welcome to Wrexham (5 Emmy wins) and has worked on a wide variety of unscripted shows including The Bachelor, Chef’s Table and Of Blood and Gold: The Making of Spain, as well as scripted projects including Echo, Returned and Codes. Sara is a member of BAFTA, PACT, the RTS and WFTV.
Irish-born Sara grew up in London, Mexico City and Spain and currently lives in Wales.
Sara holds degrees in Politics and Spanish and a Master’s in Development Studies from University College Dublin. She is a lecturer in the Department of Film and Television at the University of Bristol.
