Sandra M. Chafouleas

Sandra M. Chafouleas is a licensed psychologist with specialty in school psychology. Dr. Chafouleas works as a Board of Trustees Distinguished Professor and Neag Endowed Professor in the Neag School of Education at the University of Connecticut. She also serves as the founder and Co-Director of the UConn Collaboratory on School and Child Health (CSCH: csch.uconn.edu).

Dr. Chafouleas focuses her work on usable practices that support the whole child, with specific expertise in strategies to support mental health and emotional well-being. She is co-creator of the award-winning Feel Your Best Self toolkit, an award-winning toolkit that brings credibility, accessibility, creativity, and joy to learning emotion-coping strategies for kids and their caregivers.

Dr. Chafouleas regularly serves as a national presenter and invited speaker, and has received multiple awards for her research, teaching, and service including an American Psychological Association Presidential citation for her work disseminating Feel Your Best Self. She is a fellow in both the American Psychological Association and Association for Psychological Science.
