Samuel Brockington

Samuel Brockington is Professor of Evolution, Deputy Director & Curator of the Cambridge University Botanic Garden. As Deputy Director he leads the curation, horticulture, learning, and community teams. As Curator, he manages the Living Collections, comprising over 8000 species, the University Herbarium with 1.1 million specimens including Darwin’s Voyage of the Beagle material, and the Cory Library, which includes fine antiquarian volumes and early manuscripts. He leads an active research group in the Department of Plant Sciences working on the evolution of colour and pigments.
