As a dental practitioner, an educator and a researcher focused on tooth regeneration for more than two decades, I grew in awe about the tiny but extraordinary complex tooth organ that is developmentally a marvel, functionally unparalleled and aesthetically beautiful.
Acknowledging that natural teeth remain an entity that no dental material can quite emulate and no research endeavors have succeeded to regenerate, I advocate that Prevention in dentistry - more than any medical discipline - remains the cure.
