Samantha Mew is a graduate research assistant and masters student in the School of Kinesiology and a communications assistant at the Institute of Resources, Environment, and Sustainability at the University of British Columbia. Her work, under the supervision of Dr. Liv Yoon, examines how social, political, and cultural factors influence disproportionate exposures to climate-related risks and pollution. Currently, she explores ways to advocate for structural changes that promote equitable attention to, and protection from, environmental harms and the climate crisis. She holds a Bachelors of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia.
