Dr Sam Willcocks is Director of the Antimicrobial Innovations Centre and Lecturer in Biosciences (Microbiology & Infectious Diseases) at Brunel University London. He holds a PhD in Innate Immunology from the Royal Veterinary College, an MSc in Clinical Tropical Microbiology from University College London, and a BSc in Microbiology from Imperial College London. His research focuses on antimicrobial resistance, tuberculosis, drug discovery, host–pathogen interactions, and translational approaches to tackling infectious diseases. He has previously held research positions at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and Janssen Global Health.
