My background is in biomedical sciences and public health. I began my academic journey with my first degree at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) and am now at the University of Cape Town (UCT).

I lecture in Academic Literacy for science undergraduates at UWC, where I teach skills essential for academic writing. I guide students, as emerging scientists, in developing awareness of their biases and privileges to strengthen their research capabilities.

My academic interests include achieving equitable and quality healthcare systems, decolonising science, and enhancing public participation.
