Sahawal Alidou is author and co-author of several publications which have appeared in reputable international peer-reviewed journals such as World Development, the Journal of Population Economics and the Journal of Development Studies. His research falls under the umbrella of ‘household economics’, and covers various areas of household decisions and human development (education, health, gender, social norms and beliefs).
He is holder of an Advanced Master in International and Development Economics (Université de Namur et Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium) and a joint PhD in Economics (University of Antwerp and KU Leuven, Belgium).
