In the course of her career Ms Nolke acted as co-counsel for Canada before the International Court of Justice (case on Legality of the Use of Force, 1999-2004); as sous-Sherpa to the Prime Minister on the Nuclear Security Summit Process; as co-Chair of the Sahel Working Group of the Global Counter-Terrorism Forum; as co-Chair of the Working Group on the Future of the OPCW; and as Chair of the Committee on the Election of the Prosecutor of the ICC.
