Ruthie is a Lecturer at the University of Queensland. Her research is in end-of-life law, particularly voluntary assisted dying. Her PhD thesis investigated the role of patients and family caregivers in shaping voluntary assisted dying regulation. Ruthie teaches in the Ethics, Law and Professionalism stream of the Year 1 medical degree at The University of Queensland and is an active teacher and researcher in the TC Beirne School of Law.
