Roxana Diamond

(she/her/hers)

Roxana is a dedicated researcher and educator whose work explores the complexities of everyday life and sex work. Committed to ethical and community led research practices, her doctoral research focused on peer led methodologies, sex work feminism, and the intersections of everyday life, relationships and labour. In recognition of this work, she was awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Doctoral Thesis Excellence in 2022.

Currently, Roxana brings her practical understanding of consent and nuanced perspectives on violence to her role at Body Safety Australia, where she educates children on body safety, respectful relationships, and consent.

Drawing from a diverse range of lived and professional experiences, Roxana has worked closely with sex worker organisations, contributing to policy development, media commentary and community initiatives. She has also served on boards advocating for the rights and wellbeing of sex workers, working to ensure that sex worker voices are heard, respected, and represented across all sectors.

Alongside her professional work, Roxana is an active community volunteer. With Melbourne City Mission, she spends time with elderly community members to reduce social isolation and foster intergenerational connection. She is also involved in mutual aid efforts and cooks weekly meals with Food Angels for queer community members experiencing food insecurity.

Roxana is queer, has a cat called Angel and hates sticky hands.
