Rosalind Morris is an anthropologist, documentarist, and cultural critic. She has worked extensively in South Africa, as well as mainland Southeast Asia. The author of numerous books and essays, her most recent publication, 'Unstable Ground: The Lives, Deaths, and Afterlives of Gold in South Africa,' is forthcoming from Columbia University Press. For her scholarship she has received many awards, including a Guggenheim fellowship. Her films have played at festivals around the world, and in 2021, her multiscreen installation, 'The Zama Zama Project,' was named an official selection of the Berlinale Forum Expanded.
