- Research Fellow in Computational Geodynamics, Australian National University
Romain Beucher is a Research Fellow in the Computational Geodynamics Group, at the Research School of Earth Sciences at The Australian National University since 2020. Before that Romain was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at The University of Melbourne.
He received his PhD in Geology / Geophysics from the University of Grenoble, France where he worked on the tectonic evolution of the Alpine mountain belt. He moved to Scotland in 2010 to work on the uplift of the South African plateau, then to Norway in 2013 to learn Computational Geodynamics.
Part of his current research interest includes the study of interactions between tectonics and erosion at continent scale to which he applied a wide range of numerical and analytical techniques.
