Roger White

(He, Him, His)

Roger White is a Professor of Economics and the Douglas W. Ferguson Chair in International Economics at Whittier College. He earned his PhD in International Economics at the University of California - Santa Cruz.

Roger's research largely focuses on international trade, including the effects of cross-societal cultural differences and the influence of immigrants on trade between their host and home countries, and multidimensional deprivation in the United States. He has also worked on projects that examine the determinants of exporting behavior, the distance puzzle, U.S. immigration policy/history, public opinion towards economic globalization, the consequences of increased international trade for domestic labor, and microfinance.
