- Professor of Physics, School of Science and Technology, Nottingham Trent University
Rob is a Professor of Physics at Nottingham Trent University. He enjoys working closely with industry to use his research to solve real world problems. He works across the breadth of medical and applied physics undertaking research in MRI, instrumentation and materials.
Professor Morris has a keen interest in applying existing technology to new problems. He has previously used MRI to investigate changes in food products which have undergone different processing during production and storage. He has investigated the flow of fluids through porous materials and produced automated systems to investigate the wetting properties of surfaces and to monitor pressure during brewing processes.
He was the UK partner on a multinational Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action project called SuChAQuality, developing magnetic resonance hardware to monitor confectionary and chocolate products in partnership with industry. He is also a partner on the recently funded ERA Talents project - APRISE to deliver alternative protein sources to market.
