- Director of Research Development/Reader in Macroeconomic Policy, Canterbury Christ Church University
I am Director of Research Development at Christ Church Business School and Reader in Macroeconomic Policy. A graduate of the University of York with a BSc in Economics, I went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young. After I graduated with an MSc in Economics from the University of York and completed my Ph.D. from there also. Since then, I have been at Christ Church Business School from August 2013.
I am an active researcher and have a general interest in all of Economics. My research is grounded in the theoretical and empirical effectiveness of fiscal policy and its redistributional consequences. In particular, I am currently studying the impact of tax changes on tax revenue, and the implications of this for policy reforms. I am also writing a book on the macroeconomic impacts of constitutions.
