I am a Professor of Health Psychology whose research focuses on what motivates people to perform health behaviours, like alcohol consumption, physical activity and dietary behaviours. I conduct research to test the usefulness of psychological theories of motivation as accounts of these behaviours. I also conduct meta-analyses and systematic reviews to synthesize the evidence base for theories and interventions.
