Ricardo Bustillo Mesanza

RICARDO BUSTILLO, is PhD in Economics and Associate Professor of Applied Economics. He has been principal investigator (PI) of the UPV/EHU Research Project “Examination of the different business internationalization strategies towards emerging countries” (2014-2015), as well as Coordinator of two educational innovation projects. He has also participated in public programs for the training of national or regional internationalization experts, both as PI of research contracts from 1998 to 2011, as well as Director of the Postgraduate Degrees of “internationalization in the business field” and “corporate internationalization techniques” linked to the internationalization grants of the Basque Government from 2012 to 2023. He has been a lecturer in subjects related to International Trade and Economics in different Masters and Doctorate Programs, both at the UPV/EHU and other Spanish universities. He has been a member of the Academic Committee of the Master in Innovative Oenology (UPV/EHU) from 2021 to the present. He has supervised 4 doctoral theses and 4 Master's theses.
His main research interests are the analysis of the economic development of Asian countries, the upsurge of China as a global economic power, together with the examination of the economic integration of emerging countries in the world order.
