- Assistant Professor, University of Kinshasa
Assistant Professor at the University of Kinshasa in the Department of Information and Communication Sciences and at the Catholic University of Congo in Kinshasa (DR Congo) in the Faculty of Social Communications. He teaches management of cultural and creative industries, digital social networks and multimedia information production. In 2017, he taught at the Saint-Louis campus of Senegal's Senghor University. In 2019, he was one of the moderators of the seminar ‘Dynamiques des sociétés africaines’ of the GIERSA(ULaval, UdeM and UQÀM) of which he is a Collaborator. He is a member of the Canadian Association for African Studies and the African Studies Association.
Since 1 October 2021, he has been Director of the Culture Department at Senghor University in Alexandria (Egypt), an international French-language university serving African development and an Operator of La Francophonie.
In the cultural sector, he is one of the founding members of the Music in Africa Foundation (musicinafrica.net) based in South Africa, of which he was the first Chairman of the Board of Directors between 2013 and 2016. At national level (DR Congo), he was the principal drafter of Kinshasa's application to UNESCO's Creative Cities Network on the theme of music (2015), then Rapporteur of the National Commission for the inclusion of Congolese rumba on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (2020-2024). In September 2024, he was elected to a 3-year term as Rapporteur of the Bureau of the 6th Pan-African Cultural Congress of the African Union (AUC PACC6). He has served on the Advisory Council of Art Egypt and on the ‘Connect for culture Africa’ project initiated by SELAM (Ethiopia-Sweden).
