Resya is a research fellow at the Department of Politics and International Studies, University of Warwick. She is a co-founder of Southeast Asia Social Policy Network (SEASPN) and member of Centre on Household Assets and Savings Management (CHASM) and Social Policy Association (SPA). She also the executive director for PPKM Indonesia, an NGO working on issues related to financial access and literacy for marginalised group in Indonesia.
Resya has various experience in research and policymaking. She had various role at the senior level on the area of finance and social policy, such as a researcher at Solicitor Regulation Authority in United Kingdom, director for Policy Advocacy at Woman's World Banking and deputy director for Financial Services at the National Development and Planning Agency (BAPPENAS) in Indonesia.
She holds a PhD in Social Policy, Sociology and Criminology from University of Birmingham, Master in Public Administration from Cornell University and a bachelor degree in Economics from Padjadjaran University.
Resya has interdisciplinary research interest at the intersection of social welfare, financial sector, and policymaking with focus on marginalised groups.
