Renee Desmarchelier

Renee Desmarchelier is Associate Professor (Critical Pedagogies) in the School of Education at the University of Southern Queensland. She has an interest in the leadership of Critical Education across school and university systems. Renee leads a team of researchers investigating the experiences of families with diverse structures with the schooling system in Australia. She has been involved leadership roles in learning and teaching in Higher Education at a school, faculty and university level. She has a diverse academic background that spans Humanities (sociology, First Nations studies), Education (sociology of education, multicultural education and critical pedagogy) and Science (Horticulture). Renee supervises Higher Degree Research students across critical and First Nations educational spaces.
