Reece Hammond

(he/him)

I am a DPhil Student in Anthropology at the University of Oxford, where I have been based since 2020. The focus of my research is considering how death related behaviours in extant non-human primates might be informative as to the evolution of humanity's unique relationship with death. I also have an ongoing research interest in the evolution of the human life history pattern.

I have conducted fieldwork with wild chimpanzees at the Budongo Conservation Field Station, Uganda and possess extensive experience with archival chimpanzee video data from Bossou, Guinea.
