I did my PhD in the lab of Professor Michaela Frye in Heidelberg where I focused on understanding the role of an RNA processing factor in Skin homeostasis and cancer development. I focused on understanding its role in transcription and splicing. I am now a postdoctoral researcher at the Karolinska Institute where I am in the group of Dr. Maria Kasper. I am now interested in whether splicing has a role in coordinating stem cell fate, again working mainly in the skin.

Before starting my PhD i did a masters degree in stem cell and regenerative medicine and so also have a long standing interest in general stem cell biology and development
