Rebecca Brownlow

Rebecca is an environmental scientist interested in air pollution and greenhouse gases. her research focuses on air quality monitoring using low-cost sensors, emissions from vegetation burning, and landfill gas.

She holds a PhD in Earth Science from Royal Holloway, University of London, where she investigated tropical methane emissions using isotope analysis to characterise source signatures.

Prior to joining Sheffield Hallam, Rebecca was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Groningen (Netherlands) and later worked in environmental consultancy, specialising in landfill gas risk and resource assessments, air quality, and waste life cycle assessments.
